New Balance Day

On Sunday, October 11, we will hold a special one-day program themed "ART & SPORTS" as "New Balance Day." Art and Sports. By approaching these two seemingly different domains from the perspective of sensation and expression born from physical activity, we will create a day where art and sports, the body and creativity, intersect through running, public recording talk sessions, and live performances.

[ART & RUN EVENT] "and Run: The Land Tattoo, New Balance, Tennozu" with New Balance
The art research project "and run," which artist Michiko Tsuda has been working on, will be held on New Balance Day as a special version in collaboration with New Balance. This time, artist Michiko Tsuda and professional running coach/trainer Ryo Kurokawa will design a course that explores the Tennozu and waterfront areas through a research run. The course will run back from Tennozu along the canal to near the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge promenade. Participants will enjoy conversations while running, experiencing the changing scenery, air, sounds, and smells of the city through their bodies.
Participants will receive an original running map as a gift, and after the run, an art exhibition tour will be held. By moving your body, you can sharpen your senses, appreciate the artworks, and deepen your conversations. We offer a special experience that bridges art and sports. On the day, you can also try on New Balance running shoes.
